As a Senior Data Analyst on our Equity Research team, you will not just crunch numbers, you will help us identify the systemic challenges students face and uncover the policies and programs that remove them.

What you will do:
- Lead equity-focused analyses using SQL and Tableau to uncover disparities in student outcomes.
- Translate findings into actionable recommendations for teams like Financial Aid, Academic Programs, and Learning Analytics.
- Build dashboards that track institutional progress on equity metrics.
- Present insights to diverse audiences—from senior leadership to philanthropic partners.
- Help guide junior team members and contribute to a collaborative, inquiry-driven culture.
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data analytics, institutional research
- Experience working with educational equity analytics
- Experience working with large-scale, complex, and high-volume data sets across enterprise or distributed data environments.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and intermediate proficiency in Tableau.
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience analyzing equity gaps in student or community outcomes.
- Experience analyzing survey data and sense of belonging measures.
- Familiarity with qualitative or mixed methods approaches.
- Experience working with education nonprofits, philanthropy, or mission-driven institutions.
Work Location:
- This is a full-time, in-office position at WGU’s headquarters in Salt Lake City, UT. You will work side-by-side with a multidisciplinary team of analysts, researchers, and educators committed to data-informed innovation.
