Job description
If you’re passionate about building a better future for individuals, communities, and our country—and you’re committed to working hard to play your part in building that future—consider WGU as the next step in your career.
Driven by a mission to expand access to higher education through online, competency-based degree programs, WGU is also committed to being a great place to work for a diverse workforce of student-focused professionals. The university has pioneered a new way to learn in the 21st century, one that has received praise from academic, industry, government, and media leaders. Whatever your role, working for WGU gives you a part to play in helping students graduate, creating a better tomorrow for themselves and their families.
What You’ll Do
- Own end-to-end product analytics, including instrumentation, telemetry setup, data validation, and reporting
- Partner closely with product, engineering, and cross-functional teams to define metrics, success criteria, and experimentation frameworks
- Design and implement tracking strategies using tools such as Pendo, Adobe Analytics, CJA, Google Analytics, or comparable platforms
- Build and maintain dashboards and reporting solutions using BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI to inform decision-making
- Translate business questions into data requirements, analyses, and insights that guide product roadmap and strategy
- Proactively identify gaps in data, access, or visibility and broker solutions across teams without relying on escalation
- Lead analysis across the full product development lifecycle, from problem definition through design, release, and post-launch measurement
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, marketing, business, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in product or data analytics within mid-sized or enterprise environments
- Experience implementing instrumentation and telemetry, not just consuming reports
- Hands-on experience with multiple analytics tools such as Pendo, Adobe Analytics, CJA, Google Analytics, or similar
- Proficiency with BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI and advanced Excel capabilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of ownership and accountability
- Ability to work independently in a team-of-one environment while proactively collaborating across teams
Bonus Points
- Experience working in fintech, healthcare technology, or similarly complex, regulated industries
- Demonstrated ability to support cross-functional data access and decision-making without formal authority
